Obituary: VIRGINIA A. JACKSON
Virginia Jackson of Wagoner, Oklahoma was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Ira and Susan Wixon. She was one of seven siblings. Virginia passed this life on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Chouteau at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home, at the age of 90. She put herself through nurses training by babysitting and cleaning for familys. Virginia received her nursing training through Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. She worked for several years at St. Johnís Hospital and also was a private duty nurse till 1989. Virginia enjoyed canning, cooking and spent many hours crocheting. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed all her visit from family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, two brothers; Junior and Bud Wixon and three sisters; Susan, Judy and Aunt Rene.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Cheryl Terral and her husband Tom of Wagoner and her twin sister Dorothy Daniels of Tahlequah, two grandchildren Shalena Mounce and Shane Loffer, six great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Services were under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home & Crematory.
